Artificial Intelligence Tools – Text
ChatGPT by OpenAI: ($20/mo, free version available)
This is the tool that kicked off the widespread adoption of generative AI. I use the paid version daily for its enhanced features. The subscription allows for greater control over data privacy by opting out of having your data used for model training. You can also customize the way the tool responds to your requests, making it more aligned with your specific needs. Additionally, the paid version offers increased message limits, access to the latest models, DALL-E image generation, and the ability to create custom GPTs. As of now, only the paid users have access to the new Voice Mode feature.
Claude is designed to be a safer, more reliable AI assistant. It focuses on ethical and transparent interactions, making it ideal for sensitive or regulated environments. The tool excels in understanding and generating human-like text, making it great for brainstorming, drafting documents, and complex problem-solving. The paid version offers higher usage limits and faster response times. I also pay for Claude to get a different tool’s perspective and to compare the outputs. I will probably drop this one soon, but for now I find it useful and better at some tasks.
Gemini by Google DeepMind:
Gemini represents Google’s latest advancements in AI, integrating the best of its language models with real-time information from the web. It’s especially powerful for research, content creation, and integrating AI insights directly into your workflow. The tool is versatile and provides a comprehensive suite of capabilities including document analysis, summarization, and collaborative ideation. As with other premium AI tools, the paid version offers more advanced features, faster processing, and enhanced customization options.
